Talas, a district of Kayseri known for its historical texture, is hosting another meaningful exhibition. Artist Tuğçe Kalfa's works, focusing on the bicycle, present the object not merely as a means of transportation, but as a representation of a person's journey into their own inner world. Art lovers have the opportunity to closely examine this profound narrative, constructed through the metaphor of the bicycle, in the gallery's atmosphere. The exhibition, which has attracted the attention of art lovers, treats the bicycle not only as a means of transportation but also as a powerful metaphor representing individual and collective memory.
Contribution to Talas' Cultural Identity
The Talas Municipality Water Civilization Gallery strengthens the district's vision of becoming an art center with such events. The exhibition, which is on the route of both local residents and tourists from outside the city, adds an artistic dimension to the region's cultural richness. The intense interest generated during the exhibition once again demonstrates the appreciation for modern art in Talas.
After completing her primary, secondary, and high school education, Tuğçe Kalfa, who graduated from Gazi University with a degree in art, continues her artistic production in her own studio in Ankara. The exhibition in Talas features a total of 15 works by the artist, created using acrylic paint on canvas.
The artist describes cycling as "a journey inward," and the exhibition makes a significant contribution to the cultural and artistic identity of Talas. Opened at the Water Civilization Gallery, the exhibition is attracting considerable interest from both art lovers in Talas and visitors from outside the city.
