
Who is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdal Yerli (1975-Adiyaman)
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdal Yerli graduated from the Department of Art Education at İnönü University in 2002. He received his M.A. degree from Cumhuriyet University in 2007 and completed his Proficiency in Art (equivalent to a Doctor of Arts degree) at Akdeniz University in 2015. He currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Art Education at Pamukkale University, Turkey.
Yerli works within a figurative artistic approach. The central concern of his practice is humanity and the individual’s search for meaning and existence. His paintings focus predominantly on portraiture, with a particular interest in portraits of working people. Through these portraits, he seeks to reveal human experiences, inner worlds, and existential inquiries, emphasizing the dignity of labor and the traces of lived experience.
