Who is Şebnem Soydan? (1977-Burdur)

She was born in 1977 in Tefenni/Burdur. She completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Tefenni.
She graduated from Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Painting Education, Necmettin YAĞCI (Sculpture)’s workshop in 2000. She started teaching in 2000. She continues teaching in Denizli.

She occasionally uses pastel, acrylic, charcoal, as well as many mixed techniques to express her surreal stories.
She continues her figurative experiments and searches in her abstract spotty works. The expression of the works with many materials and techniques shows that the artist appeals to all senses.

In Dreams …
There were moments when she forgot herself while trying to keep up with the flow of life and got lost in thoughts. At those moments, an escape route, a scream from within, was reflected in her art.
Those moments, in the smell of salt in the sea, in the sound of waves, sometimes in a crowd, when his feet just touch the ground and water, his breath is reflected on his entire canvas.

His colors tell all dreams. There is green in peace, blue in happiness, red in love and anger. While he hides himself in the harsh and naive gaze of his pencil, serenity and enthusiasm are reflected in his figures with his paints. In the surreal journey of his works, he appeals to all senses. In this adventure, the artist has stepped into a journey between dream and reality.
