Ali Abbas Korkmaz's article about his latest exhibition: November 30, 2025

Ramuş İpek, who hasn't exhibited for 5 years and has consistently turned down exhibition requests, states that he didn't paint during this period because he wanted to avoid reflecting his troubles and sorrows in his paintings. This attitude once again expresses his respect for his art and profession with sincere and heartfelt emotions. It's not at all modest about these paintings of our artist, who produces very valuable works with the same enthusiasm as if he were just starting to paint; the viewer truly enters into a state of integration while viewing them… If these paintings, the product of a deep accumulation that leaves a mark on the human soul, were to be set to music, they would have already been composed and taken their place as masterpieces. In Ramuş İpek's paintings, you will inevitably find a clue about your own life or the lives of others; you suddenly find yourself within the painting... There is no doubt that this exhibition will take its place among the unforgettable art events in the history of Turkish painting.
Gallery İdil is proud and excited to host the exhibition of this great master of Turkish painting. Art lovers will truly see poetic works that seem to have been put into musical notes in this exhibition... While the search for style in painting continues, Ramuş İpek created his own style early in his artistic journey and never sought meaning, earning great admiration from art circles. He achieved his goal at an early age and became an important representative of figurative painting with his unique understanding of color and style. He produces works that perfectly match the meaning of painting in our context, with their perfection in composition, perspective, and light-shadow. Even on the blank surfaces of İpek's canvas, the many shades of gray she uses and her brushstrokes create a distinct dynamism throughout the painting and in the background, constantly bringing movement and creating different impressions; this is a situation that can only be explained by objective reality. Choosing flower-selling women and historical places as her themes, the artist has produced many valuable, documentary-style pastoral works in this style.
