Murat Bingöl

Who is Murat Bingöl? (1986-Diyarbakır)

Born in 1986 in Ergani District of Diyarbakır. Graduated from Diyarbakır Anatolian Fine Arts High School in 2005. Graduated from Mersin University Faculty of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department in 2012. Along with his teaching career, he works as an art instructor in many projects. In the projects where he serves as an art instructor, he gives painting and sculpture lessons to age groups 3-25. The artist continues his artistic life in his own studio.

Artistic Perspective:

In my figurative works, the human being is considered as a body fixed within time. The figure is not so much a part of a narrative as a stance where existence is intensified. Movement recedes; the body transforms into an entity that takes its place in relation to time and nature. In my works, the figure is read through the relationship it establishes with space and its environment. Nature is not a background surrounding the figure; it is a space that exists with it, testing the body. Time, on the other hand, is an effect that leaves a mark on the figure, fixing it. These works, positioned between painting and sculpture, aim to make the human condition visible through posture, weight, and silence.
