Who is İmren Eroglu? (1983-Bursa)

“İmren Eroglu, who was born in Bursa in 1983, started her art education in the Painting department of Yıldırım Girls’ Vocational High School. Then she continued her education at Eskişehir Anadolu University. She is currently continuing her education in the Graphics-Web Design department of Anadolu University.

The artist has had the opportunity to develop herself by closely examining the museums and art centers of Amsterdam, Basel, Cologne, Munich, Prague, Würzburg, Leverkusen, Strasbourg, Bern, Nürnberg and Salzburg.
The artist; “She also continues her work as a member of the Bursa City Council Painters Group.”
İmren Eroglu was introduced to the art of painting at a very early age and continues her work professionally in her workshop in Bursa. The artist uses acrylic paint as a technique. While preparing her works, she gives a new breath to the elements that are freely found in nature and are usually overlooked; in other words, inert products, natural stones, tree trunks, granites and gargalak boards.

Preserving the original texture, form and story of each piece, He adds a different dimension to his paintings without spoiling their naturalness. In his works, the artist reveals the cycle of nature, the traces of life and the transformation brought by time. He emphasizes sustainable art by using free and inactive products in nature, explains the importance of using natural resources and aims to minimize environmental impacts by preferring recyclable materials. Eroğlu aims to create awareness in people about the environment and nature in this way, and to establish a deeper connection with nature in art lovers.

Art Perspective;

For me, art means establishing a dialogue with nature. Every object I collect carries a potential within itself and I aim to reveal this potential. Each piece is a proof of the richness that nature offers us and how valuable the seemingly inactive can actually be.
Life is not just about black and white colors. In nature, every color has a thousand and one shades and opposites. An artist’s sensitivity is required to see these different shades of green, red and blue. I express the details that the eye can see with geometric lines and forms. I express my inner world through color, line, plane and mass, and I go beyond traditional rules. I go beyond and I like to highlight my feelings and transfer them to canvas-objects instead of the reality of nature. I can define myself as both an impressionist and a cubic painter.
