Hünkar Ülkü Doğan

 Who is Hünkar Ülkü Doğan? (1950 – Amasya)

Born in Amasya in 1950, the artist graduated from the Department of Art Education at Gazi Teacher Training Institute in 1973. Following her graduation, she worked as an art teacher in various institutions for 30 years. Since 2007, she has returned to working intensively in her private studio and continues her artistic production without interruption. She has held numerous solo and duo exhibitions in Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, and Eskişehir, and has participated in various group exhibitions. The artist continues to work in her studio located in Odunpazarı, Eskişehir.

Artistic Perspective;

In her practice, the artist transforms nature from a mere object of observation into an entire universe reconstructed through the language of color, rhythm, and form. Her vibrant and expressive color palette reveals both the harmony and inherent tensions within nature. Organic forms moving within a mechanical order present a dual structure that suggests both belonging to a whole and separating from it. The figurative elements formed by differently colored shapes serve as focal points that question the position of individuality within a collective structure.
