Hatice Seher Ünal

Who is Hatice Seher Ünal? (1950-Adana)

Born in Adana.
Graduated from ITU Faculty of Architecture and Engineering in 1973.
She started her painting studies in Mustafa Dulda painting studio in Adana Sabancı Culture Site between 1994-1998. She took part in many personal and group exhibitions in her art life of over 30 years. She has awards in many painting competitions organized in Turkey.
She continues her works in her own studio in Adana.

She uses the technical knowledge she carries from her professional architecture background in her paintings. She brings the landscapes from the countryside to the surface by using mapping methods.
The natural settlement plans of the countryside are the most prominent elements in her paintings. She creates her landscapes with geometric lines on wide paint surfaces with earth and pastel colors.
She is inspired by the wide plains of Çukurova and Anatolia.
