Günsel Selimoğlu

Who is Günsel Selimoğlu? (1984-)
She was born in 1984 in Safranbolu district of Karabük. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Safranbolu, she studied traditional handicrafts at Karabük University Safranbolu Vocational School in 2001-03. Between 2004 and 2008, she continued her education in the fine arts department of Abant İzzet Baysal University, art teaching department. She has been working as an art teacher in Istanbul Beylikdüzü between 2010 and 2023, and in Ordu Ünye since 2023, and takes part in various exhibitions and art organizations. She still continues her studies in Ünye.

Artistic Perspective
“In my works, I mostly try to highlight the magical past of historical and architectural structures. “I apply the spirit of the place by distorting the perception of reality with animal and human figures.”
