
Who was Ertürk Boyancı? (1952 Mersin – 2008)
Ertürk Boyancı was born in Mersin in 1952. His artistic and educational life intertwined. After graduating from Mersin Teacher Training School, he continued his education at Marmara University Atatürk Education Institute. During his academic career, he particularly developed his skills in art education and strengthened his artistic formation by working in the studio of painter İlhami Demirel.
The artist was not only a productive painter but also distinguished himself as an educator. He played a role in the establishment of Ankara Anatolian Fine Arts High School and taught there.
Boyancı, who passed away in Ankara in 2008, was buried in Mersin, his birthplace.
