What does Ali Rıza Kanaç say?

“The bison appearances I use in my own paintings are undoubtedly a product of the psychic nature-human-animal complex that occurs in my subconscious. Along with the bison figures in the cave paintings, the thousands of years of natural formation shapes and colors of the cave also influenced me, so similar paintings emerged in the context of texture and color in my paintings.

The reason why the bison appears in my paintings is that it has a characteristic body form and is an effective example of abstraction when depicted even in primitive times. In the process that we call the age of technology, it has become possible to access all kinds of data and information visually. Why bison? Because I have never seen a bison, but I have seen many photos of bison. "The sketches I obtain from these photographs are edited according to the composition I want to create on the painting surface and undergo changes within themselves until they turn into their final form."
